(0.The Fool-Ancient Tarot of Lombardy Deck)

A man(usually young), dressed in bright colored clothes(usually green) is sitting on the edge of a cliff watching the road or the skies. At his feet a dog(tiger, leopard, wolf) is biting his shoes. The man has a small bag on his shoulders. In the back you can see the blue sky and some mountains or pine forest. The main colors (usually) are: green, brown, yellow, blue, olive, citrine giving the impression of a spring morning.

Tarot meaning: act of bravery, blind faith, new beginning but also folly and acts that could lead to disasters unless balanced. It is the most unstable, chaotic card in the deck.

Description:
My theory regarding the Tarot paths on the Tree of Life is slightly different than the traditional view, meaning that the most of the cards do not stand where the majority of the sages were thinking. I do have some common grounds with Frater Achad though, and his vision of the Tree.
I will try to explain my theories in this article and the next ones, and if I do not make sense or you have a better opinion that can be explained, then you are free to e-mail the site and I will answer through it.

The old theory was saying that 0 or 22 The Fool stands next to Kether while I say that 0.The Fool stands between Malkuth and Yesod being the first step in Initiation. The colors of this card are those of fresh earth, early spring:yellow, green, light brown and everything in the card gives the impression of fresh air filled with energy that is intoxicating the character. This is the first reason why I believe that 0.the Fool should stand next to Malkuth-after all he is taking Malkuth’s colours and if we think of the other symbols like the purple grapes then we have again earth symbols of an ecstatic nature though -grapes could also be a symbol of the Tree and the Universe and that would be the reason and the motif of his journey.

One of his titles is ”Spirit of the Ether”.”Aristotle (Plato’s student at the Akademia) included aether in the system of the classical elements of Ionian philosophy as the “fifth element” (the quintessence), on the principle that the four terrestrial elements were subject to change and moved naturally in straight lines while no change had been observed in the celestial regions and the heavenly bodies-circles. In Aristotle’s system aether had no qualities (was neither hot, cold, wet, or dry), was incapable of change (with the exception of change of place), and by its nature moved in circles, and had no contrary, or unnatural, motion.”(Wikipedia) .”Robert Fludd stated that the aether was of the character that it was “subtler than light”. Fludd cites the 3rd century view of Plotinus, concerning the aether as penetrative and non-material.”( Wikipedia)¬† In some decks you can see the air or the sky being of a light yellow or almost light orange giving the impression of a sunny ”etheric” day or a sunny morning(orange) and this is the connection with Yesod-Moon.The character is also a bit of a lunatic, and again we have a connection with Moon/Yesod. The difference is that he is on the ground(Malkuth) surrounded by earth(Malkuth) symbols, but is impregnated with the Moon’s ether, this making him want to (almost) fly. The difference is that he is on the ground (Malkuth) surrounded by earth(Malkuth) symbols, but is impregnated with the Moon’s ether, this making him want to (almost) fly. On the other hand if we remember the Yesod-Malkuth relationship and how both depend on the other, then 0 is the only number that could fit the path. This is why, The Fool is a living paradox, being fool and wise in the same time, wanting to go on a dangerous initiation path even if he follows his instincts.
